Maintenance Technician (Packaging Machinery)

Location: Hauppauge, New York, USA; onsite

What you will do

• Install, inspect, maintain, test, and calibrate machinery and mechanical systems.
• Repair and troubleshoot die-cutting machines, flexographic printers, and other packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to production emergency breakdown calls.
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, multimeters, hand taps, and diagnostic equipment.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings; document maintenance and repair work.
• Work with the Plant Manager and production team to assess breakdowns and restore equipment efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in machine maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, lift heavy equipment, and work in varied environments.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented approach.
