Maintenance Technician (Packaging)

Location: Richland, WA, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $34.30–$49.66 per hour, plus annual bonus based on plant performance metrics.

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems on manufacturing and support equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns in a production environment.
• Use lockout-tagout procedures and follow company safety requirements while reducing machine downtime and waste.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, fans, agitators, and other industrial machinery.
• Develop and apply a multi-craft skill set covering both mechanic and electrician responsibilities.
• Work independently and as part of a maintenance team across assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment; 3+ years or a related technical degree is also specified for certain maintenance classifications.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, steam maintenance, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators.
• Ability to read blueprints, charts, tables, equipment manuals, and specified equipment tolerances.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming; electrical or PLC certification is required for applicable classifications.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be willing and able to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, varying temperatures, and constant noise requiring hearing protection.

Nice to have

• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades.
• Experience in corrugated or packaging manufacturing.
• Electrical or PLC certification.
