Maintenance Technician Automation - Days (6:00am - 6:00pm) (Automation)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; onsite 12-hour rotating shift from 6:00am to 6:00pm

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Repair, adjust, and maintain injection molding, assembly, printing, packaging, and robotic equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions and restore equipment to operation.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for safety, quality, and processing issues.
• Maintain electrical controls, upload programs to PLC controls, and repair robot arms, motors, encoders, and control boards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, TPM activities, inspections, calibration, and documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
• Record maintenance work orders in SAP, coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Manager, and contribute to safety and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical, hands-on position.
• Experience with injection molding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley, Koyo, Omron, or Mitsubishi systems.
• Strong math, reading, communication, mechanical, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity skills; ability to work independently and use basic hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repetitively, push and pull items, stand or walk throughout the shift, and climb ladders. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
