Project Controls Analyst (Electric Utility)

Location: Must be able to commute to the Hartford, Connecticut office on an as-needed basis; travel up to 25% required

What you will do

• Perform project cost and schedule analysis with Project Managers.
• Develop and maintain risk registers, forecasts, variance analyses, and executive reporting materials.
• Create Units, T&M, and Earned Value Management cost-tracking tools for project reporting.
• Monitor weekly costs and man-hours against budgets, job numbers, and cost codes.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support change orders, monthly close, cost and revenue accruals, and project status reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience and project cost controls experience required.
• Experience in the electric utility sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to collect and analyze data using enterprise systems and investigate project risks and issues.
• Ability to commute to Hartford, Connecticut, and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Smartsheet.
• Utility construction and project controls or project management experience.
