TL;DR
Project Controls and Analysis Specialist (DOE Environmental Management): Supporting project controls, operations oversight, compliance tracking, and environmental remediation activities for DOE EM Hanford in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment with an accent on cost and schedule controls, procedure review, and reporting. Focus on conducting operational surveillances, documenting oversight findings, coordinating readiness reviews, and escalating safety concerns across engineering and construction activities.

Location: Predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, with some remote support subject to approval.

Employment type: Full-time. The role is offered on a contingent contract basis, with potential conversion to a hirify.global W-2 position.

What you will do

  • Provide project controls, program support, and analysis for DOE Environmental Management and Hanford Field Office engagements.
  • Conduct operations surveillances, review procedures and logs, and coordinate readiness reviews.
  • Support commissioning, deactivation and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and waste and nuclear material stabilization activities.
  • Track and document DOE oversight findings, including cost and schedule controls and analysis.
  • Support construction and operations oversight across engineering, environmental, safety, and compliance disciplines.
  • Escalate safety concerns and contribute to reporting and mission assurance in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in DOE operations oversight; nuclear or industrial facilities experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience with operations oversight, procedure review, reporting, and project controls.
  • Strong judgment, independence, and field presence.
  • Ability to work predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
  • Facility clearance is required; a DOE clearance may be required for assigned work.
