TL;DR
Project Controls Scheduler (Energy): Building and maintaining integrated master schedules, earned value reports, and resource forecasts for energy delivery projects with an accent on critical path analysis, milestone tracking, and schedule recovery. Focus on analyzing CPI and SPI indicators, coordinating schedule and cost alignment, and supporting emergent field projects.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid. The role may require flexible or extended hours, field construction site work, job walkdowns, and 24/7 on-call scheduling support during storms or energy delivery emergencies.

Annual salary: $73,600–$101,200, plus a 10% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules, portfolio views, detailed critical path schedules, and standard schedule templates.
  • Develop earned value reports and track CPI, SPI, milestones, project status, and schedule performance.
  • Provide resource loading, utilization reporting, workload analysis, and internal and external resource forecasts.
  • Revise schedules to recover missed milestones and accommodate project changes, material requests, work orders, and emergent events.
  • Coordinate with project management, field organizations, operations, resource management, and financial management to align schedules and costs.
  • Support project closeout, status projects in operational systems, facilitate project meetings, and provide scheduling support during energy delivery emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a technical field, or 3–6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2–4 years of related scheduling experience, preferably in the electric or gas transmission, distribution, or substation industry.
  • Ability to build schedules from estimates, project diagrams, or verbal scopes of work.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Asset Suite 8, and related computer applications.
  • Strong analytical, evaluation, communication, prioritization, facilitation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in office, field, and construction-site environments.

Nice to have

  • Scheduler certification such as PMI-SP or AACEI.
  • Project View experience with ComEd or PECO.
