Adult Health/ Medical-Surgical Clinical Faculty Weekends

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite clinical teaching required

Compensation: $560–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the assigned credit hours.

What you will do

• Implement nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students delivering nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Provide remediation and maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies and procedures.
• Prepare clinical assignments, grade coursework, and communicate student or agency concerns to academic leadership.
• Teach didactic content under the supervision of the course coordinator when needed.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas required.
• At least two years of recent registered nursing experience in the instructional area within the last five years.
• Weekend availability is mandatory.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at certain clinical partner sites.
