Clinical Visiting Professor (Nursing)

Location: North Brunswick Township, New Jersey, USA

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach nursing students in clinical settings within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students delivering care to individuals and groups.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Prepare clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
• Grade academic and clinical work, including assignments, tests, lab work, and clinical paperwork.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies, course coordinators, deans, and assistant deans regarding policies, student progress, and concerns.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Missouri or an NLC Compact state.
• At least two years of registered nursing experience in the teaching specialty within the last five years.
• Subject matter expertise with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at certain clinical partner sites.

Nice to have

• Teaching or precepting experience.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or maternal-child nursing.
