Pediatric Clinical Faculty (Part Time)

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; onsite teaching in a clinical setting

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours.

What you will do

• Teach pediatric nursing clinical experiences for students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Plan clinical assignments and directly supervise students providing care to children and families.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Orient students to clinical agency policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Grade coursework, assessments, laboratory assignments, clinical documentation, and other written work.
• Coordinate with clinical personnel, course coordinators, and academic leadership regarding student and agency matters.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered registered nursing license in Oregon.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Teaching or precepting experience.
