Program Manager II (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; office or hybrid environment

Estimated starting salary: $143,487.14–$197,294.82 annually, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage the integration of multiple complex projects and major aerospace and defense systems.
• Oversee customer relationships, technical execution, cost control, scheduling, and overall program performance.
• Lead program and project staff, build cross-functional teams, and coordinate resources and stakeholders.
• Lead proposal activities from initial customer interaction through requirements definition, estimating, negotiation, and contract award.
• Identify, assess, mitigate, and track financial, technical, legal, cost, and schedule risks.
• Support business resource planning, audits, program reviews, and Business Area operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, management, engineering, or a related field, or 12 years of related experience without a degree.
• 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• 3+ years leading medium-scale projects lasting 1–2 years with teams of 5 or more cross-functional members.
• Experience evaluating, preparing, reviewing, and submitting requests for proposals or quotes.
• Demonstrated program integration, financial management, risk control, stakeholder coordination, communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Current active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification and an advanced degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, PMBOK, CMMI, agile or spiral development, and Earned Value Management.
• Experience with program management tools, data architectures, ISO 9001 processes, and process improvement.
