Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite in a professional office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage the execution of customer contracts and own customer relationships for government and commercial programs.
• Develop cost, schedule, scope, risk, procurement, staffing, and subcontract management baselines.
• Coordinate engineering, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, suppliers, and testing activities.
• Define and refine customer requirements and generate proposals and statements of work.
• Track internal and external deliverables, milestones, budgets, and program performance.
• Prepare and present design, progress, gate review, and executive-level program materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex technical program environments.
• Experience with large fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, and time-and-material contracts, including post-award execution.
• Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules, cost baselines, resource-loaded plans, and Basis of Estimate documentation.
• Knowledge of DoD or similar government contracting environments, with strong analytical, risk management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
• Concept-to-launch experience with satellite missions.
• Experience with cost- and budget-constrained programs and non-traditional aerospace environments.
• Understanding of satellites, space sensors, and ground systems.
