Laboratory Scientist I

Location: Onsite in Horsham, Pennsylvania, United States. Full-time schedule, Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Perform screening, sample preparation, dilutions, extractions, and laboratory testing.
• Calculate and report test results while documenting quality control data, chain of custody, and SOP-required information.
• Set up, maintain, and procure testing instruments and equipment according to prescribed procedures.
• Prepare testing work lists using PC-based LIMS and maintain workstation supplies and reagents.
• Participate in laboratory quality control activities and collect data for routine quality control tests.
• Manage workflow and turnaround time for routine analyses, including patient and proficiency-testing samples.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences.
• At least one year of laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of PC-based LIMS.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety rules, sample-handling procedures, cleanliness standards, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Ability to frequently walk, stand, or squat and occasionally handle 20–50 pounds of force.
