Field Services Engineer II (Healthcare Automation)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid field service role with frequent local travel and occasional support in adjacent areas. The role requires a home-based workspace and inventory storage.

Base compensation: $27.58–$51.22 per hour.

What you will do

• Independently diagnose and repair advanced electro-mechanical, automation, and system issues onsite.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve system performance and minimize downtime.
• Support nursing, pharmacy, and healthcare leaders through clear communication and responsive service.
• Document repairs, escalations, follow-ups, and other service events in accordance with company policies.
• Meet service-level agreements, response-time targets, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Manage trunk stock and parts inventory, escalate product issues, and collaborate with internal technical teams.

Requirements

• Coursework or training in network engineering, electronics, robotics, or a related field.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year of relevant experience; associate degree, trade certification, or military training plus 4+ years of experience; or 7+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to meet hirify.global insurance requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FDA regulations, medical device standards, and quality management systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, or computer-based systems.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to junior team members.
