Location: Lafayette, Colorado, United States of America. The role is performed in an office environment, and candidates below the Principal level must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment. U.S. sponsorship is not available for this role.
Salary: $88,800–$133,200 per year, plus eligibility for the Incentive Plan.

What you will do
- Design and develop systems, implants, and instruments for spine surgery.
- Manage interfaces between implant and instrument hardware and enabling technologies such as navigation, robotics, and pre-operative planning.
- Translate Voice of the Customer input into system, product, workflow, and interface requirements and specifications.
- Perform technical planning, functional analysis, requirements allocation, system integration, and interface definition.
- Plan and conduct product, use, verification, and validation testing across multiple programs.
- Evaluate design alternatives, risks, costs, schedules, supportability, and total-system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available below the Principal level.
- Experience with systems engineering, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition, and verification and validation.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and collaborate with cross-functional product teams.
- For degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy applicable U.S. H-1B educational requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with spine, orthopaedic, navigation, robotics, or other enabling technologies.
- Engineering master’s degree.
- Experience with surgical workflows, user evaluations, Voice of the Customer research, and requirements traceability.
- Knowledge of mechanical design, drawings, tolerance analysis, computer-aided design, software design, algorithms, or iterative software development.
