Sourcing Specialist II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's global headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States. Domestic and international travel of up to 10% may be required.

Base pay: $72,000–$90,000 USD annually. Level and base salary depend on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Source materials by evaluating supplier capability, pricing, delivery requirements, and performance.
• Place and manage purchase orders for launch vehicles, satellite systems, and related components.
• Own business relationships with assigned suppliers and manage the RFQ process.
• Negotiate supplier terms to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with Engineering and provide order status and delivery updates to material planners.
• Maintain accurate purchase order data in the ERP system and support on-time material delivery.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or 6 or more years of total work experience.
• Experience sourcing, onboarding, and negotiating pricing with suppliers.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes.
• For work in the United States, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR and related export regulations.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with MRP systems.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapidly growing environment and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
