Buyer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, components, and services across assigned purchasing categories.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and supplier contracts while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Create and manage purchase orders through delivery, receipt, invoice resolution, and accurate transaction records.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, finance, and suppliers to align material requirements and procurement strategy.
• Manage supplier performance, conduct supplier status calls, and resolve shortages, disruptions, and escalations.
• Maintain supplier and part master data and partner with engineering to maintain the bill of materials and purchasing plans.

Requirements

• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR and EAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
• Prior experience with an ERP system.
• Experience in purchasing or supply chain, ideally in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Comfort working with purchasing systems and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
