Procurement Specialist (Robotics)

Location: New York City, NY, with 3–4 days per week in the office

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity grant

What you will do

• Own purchase order issuance and management for finished goods, spare parts, tooling, raw materials, and other direct-spend categories.
• Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with global suppliers and Tier-1 manufacturing partners.
• Resolve shortages, delivery issues, invoice discrepancies, supplier non-conformances, and other supply risks.
• Execute RFQs, spot buys, negotiations, cost-reduction initiatives, and alternate-source qualification.
• Track pricing, lead times, supplier terms, BOM costs, inventory days on hand, and critical-path components.
• Drive material readiness and clear-to-build processes for prototype and production builds in partnership with engineering, product, quality, finance, and manufacturers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles in a high-volume, high-mix hardware or manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge of mechatronic-system commodities, including metals, injection molding, machined parts, PCBAs, linear motion systems, and off-the-shelf components.
• Experience with product development lifecycles, design and document change control, and production environments.
• Experience using an ERP system for purchase order management and inventory transactions; NetSuite is a plus.
• Experience with a PLM system such as Arena, or the ability to learn one quickly.
• Strong analytical, Excel, communication, organization, negotiation, and attention-to-detail skills.
