Procurement Specialist (Robotics)

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid with 3–4 days per week in the office expected.

Base salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity grant.

What you will do

• Own purchase order issuance and management for finished goods, spare parts, tooling, selected raw materials, and other direct-spend categories across 2 programs, 12 product lines, and 400+ components.
• Source, vet, onboard, and maintain relationships with 30+ global suppliers and Tier-1 manufacturing partners.
• Resolve shortages, delivery issues, invoice discrepancies, supplier non-conformances, and other supplier risks.
• Create and execute RFQs, spot buys, supplier negotiations, cost-reduction initiatives, and make/buy analyses.
• Track pricing, lead times, terms, BOM costs, long-lead components, critical-path components, and material days on hand.
• Drive sourcing and clear-to-build material readiness for prototype and production builds, including phase-in and phase-out planning for new products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles in a high-volume, high-mix hardware or manufacturing environment.
• Working technical knowledge of common mechatronic-system commodities, including metals, injection molding, and general off-the-shelf components.
• Familiarity with product development lifecycles and design/document change-control processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and communicate requirements.
• Experience using an ERP system for purchase order management and inventory transactions.
• Experience with a PLM system or the ability to ramp quickly.
• Unrivaled attention to detail and exceptional Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Positive attitude, high energy, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
