Senior Buyer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and execute multi-year, cross-functional supply chain strategies.
• Manage supply base processes and strategies to reduce material, freight, duty, inventory, and other total landed costs.
• Coordinate with product line leaders, material managers, engineers, operations, and quality teams.
• Support optimized sourcing strategies for new product development programs.
• Procure PCBs, including uploading files and discussing requirements with vendors.
• Manage procurement levels for chemicals and consumables with expiration considerations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, qualifying protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, materials, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience buying and sourcing capital expenditures or test equipment in the aerospace industry.
• Space-specific industry experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and reports, and with MRP systems; Acumatica is preferred.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers for space applications, along with negotiation, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills.

• MBA.
• Experience in engineering, operations, or marketing contributing to detailed market knowledge.
