Field Service Technician- Boston MA area

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; field-based customer sites with travel up to 75% domestically and internationally, including occasional trips to Mexico and Canada.

Base salary: $28.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, commission, repair, and maintain automated packaging machinery at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to meet contracted efficiency rates, perform audits, and install upgrades.
• Document installations, commissioning, repairs, and upgrades in detailed site reports.
• Recommend machine upgrades, retrofits, and spare parts to improve safety, performance, reliability, and inventory management.
• Train customer personnel during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Support the Deer Park, NY facility and participate in customer Factory Acceptance Tests.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience starting up, repairing, and maintaining medium- to large-scale industrial equipment as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in a related mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
• Mechanical repair skills and the ability to read part, assembly, and wiring schematics.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and servo controllers is preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, strong organization and time management skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Passport required; willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.
