Robotics Field Service Technician

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, United States; requires local travel up to 80% and overnight travel up to 50%.

Salary: $29–$32 per hour. Typical annualized earnings are $71,500–$91,500 depending on experience, hourly rate, and hours worked. Overtime is paid for hours worked over 40 per week in accordance with applicable law.

What you will do

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells using established checklists and procedures.
• Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs, respond to on-site service calls, and troubleshoot issues using structured procedures.
• Provide hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
• Monitor robotic system performance, report anomalies, and escalate complex or recurring issues to engineering.
• Record service activity, asset updates, spare-part requirements, and follow-up actions in CMMS and fleet systems.
• Follow industrial safety standards, including LOTO, and support root-cause analysis, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on field service or maintenance experience with robotic or industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to track and report maintenance activity.
• Ability to travel locally up to 80% and overnight up to 50%.
• Clear communication, structured documentation, safety discipline, and ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB, or Universal Robots.
• Familiarity with palletizing, case packing, pick-and-place, or conveyor systems.
• Experience in food, beverage, packaging, CPG, or other high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Prior customer-facing field experience.
• Spanish language proficiency.
