Engineering Test Lab Supervisor

Location: On-site 5 days per week in Anoka, Minnesota, US

Compensation range: $62,900–$116,900 per year, with potential eligibility for annual incentives.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop test technicians across multiple testing activities.
• Coordinate technician assignments, equipment, instrumentation, and laboratory resources against engineering testing priorities.
• Support prototype, pre-production, product verification, product validation, agency, and performance testing with Design Engineering and R&D Test Engineers.
• Help resolve test setup, equipment, and product performance issues, escalating complex challenges to technical experts.
• Monitor testing progress, remove workflow constraints, and improve daily laboratory execution, utilization, and throughput.
• Support onboarding, training, cross-training, equipment readiness, and downtime reduction with lab leadership and maintenance partners.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least one year of direct people leadership experience, including work assignment, workload and resource coordination, coaching, and performance support.
• Experience in an engineering test lab, product testing, or product validation environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical proficiency for understanding test methods, analyzing issues, and guiding technicians through complex procedures and equipment challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with technicians, engineers, and lab leadership.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance and remain standing or sitting for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, thermal management, cooling systems, or other sophisticated electromechanical products.
