What you will do

  • Develop and redesign controls products for air-handling equipment in collaboration with sales, marketing, service, design engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Define controls strategies, validate deliverables, and ensure designs meet required operating points and design intent.
  • Create bills of materials, electrical schematics, documentation, procedures, and product literature for new and changed designs.
  • Lead or support prototyping, testing, production transitions, training, and evaluation of equipment and facility capabilities.
  • Investigate product defects, returned goods, installation issues, and application problems; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support, conduct internal and external training, mentor team members, and represent Controls Engineering on cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • Controls Engineer II: 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience; Controls Engineer Sr: 6–9 years.
  • Associate degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent job experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with function block and structured text coding languages is preferred.
  • Understanding of HVAC equipment operation and applications is preferred.
