Product Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; primarily onsite in an office with regular visits to the manufacturing floor and testing labs.

Salary: $77,789–$105,244 per year

What you will do

• Design, validate, and implement HVAC products, components, models, prototypes, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate product manufacturing and optimize designs for production with manufacturing and quality teams.
• Develop new products and update existing designs for cost reduction, efficiency, and innovative upgrades.
• Use component selection software and 3D modeling tools to create complete product designs.
• Support testing, assembly, field operations, and supplier visits as needed.
• Analyze HVAC systems and equipment to identify malfunctions and improve operating performance and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of HVAC-related experience.
• 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo, and 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, HVAC and manufacturing practices, thermodynamics, heat transfer, simulations, and electrical principles.
• Experience with refrigeration, hydronics, PLM systems, ERP integration, technical drawings, specifications, regulatory compliance, and certification processes.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments, including designated areas requiring safety protocols and PPE.
