Laboratory Analyst - PLM (TU - SA, 1PM - 9PM) (Environmental Testing)

Location: Arvada, Colorado, USA. Onsite laboratory role with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM; training is Monday–Friday.

Compensation: $20–$27 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze bulk environmental and asbestos samples using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM).
• Enter sample descriptions and analytical results into LIMS and report data to clients.
• Perform independent quality-control analyses, reference-material testing, and proficiency-sample analysis.
• Schedule sample workloads according to due dates, hold times, and rush status.
• Maintain, calibrate, and coordinate servicing of laboratory equipment while managing sample storage and disposal.
• Support quality-assurance processes, laboratory accreditations, corrective actions, and training of new analysts.

Requirements

• Degree in Geology or a similar field preferred.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience.
• Computer and software proficiency with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to distinguish colors for sample analysis.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
