Laboratory Analyst (Tues-Sat) - Eurofins Environment Testing, Earth City MO

Location: Earth City, Missouri, USA; must live within a commutable distance. Full-time, year-round, first-shift schedule from Tuesday through Saturday.

Salary: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience and schedule.

What you will do

• Prepare, aliquot, and weigh environmental samples using standard laboratory techniques.
• Perform routine chemical analyses in accordance with scientific, EPA, GMP, and GLP methodologies.
• Calculate, record, and report analytical data and unusual test occurrences.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and become trained on complex instrumentation.
• Follow environmental health and safety, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the work area, wash glassware, and complete laboratory activities safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience.
• One to two years of sample preparation or analytical experience is preferred.
• Basic mathematics, problem-solving, organization, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow written or verbal instructions, manage multiple priorities, and meet time and quality constraints.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally; willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Professional working proficiency in English and authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an environmental laboratory.
• Experience with LIMS software.
• Knowledge of organic preparation, metals analysis, gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, radiochemistry, wet chemistry, or high- and low-resolution analysis.
