Asbestos Analyst

Location: Tustin, California, United States; onsite laboratory position

Salary: $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

hirify.global provides analytical testing services across food, environmental, pharmaceutical, and other life sciences markets. Eurofins Built Environment Testing delivers industrial hygiene and indoor air quality services, including asbestos, mold, bacteria, VOC, radon, lead, and silica testing.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental and aerobiological samples for asbestos using Polarizing Light Microscopy.
• Enter, validate, review, and report analytical data through the LIMS.
• Perform reference material, proficiency, and quality control sample analyses.
• Schedule and coordinate sample workloads, rush projects, transfers, disposals, and timely client reporting.
• Support quality assurance processes, laboratory accreditations, training documentation, and corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, consumable inventory, reference samples, and stock cultures while providing technical support to colleagues and clients.

Requirements

• 0–1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy with a Polarizing Light Microscope.
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology, or a closely related science.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to travel for training and work the required full-time schedule, including possible weekends and overtime.
• Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, databases, scientific methods, and laboratory organization.
