Manager, Production Planning and Control (Manufacturing)

Location: Gainesville, Georgia, United States; onsite in a manufacturing environment with prolonged walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

What you will do

• Develop production plans and schedules that meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, supply chain, inventory control, warehouse, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
• Maintain inventory and safety-stock levels while identifying material requirements for production and new products.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and improve efficiency, cost, quality, and bottleneck resolution.
• Communicate production status, risks, and issues to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead and coach production planning team members while promoting safety, open communication, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or an equivalent field, or at least five years of similar experience in lieu of education.
• At least five years of production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, replenishment concepts, and MRP/ERP planning.
• Experience with production planning software such as Oracle or a similar system.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production schedules; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• CPIM or APICS certification.
