Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

  • Own electrical ground-system hardware through architecture, schematic development, fabrication, integration, validation, and deployment.
  • Develop power, instrumentation, communications, data acquisition, command, telemetry, and control interfaces for ground support equipment.
  • Design and integrate rack-level equipment, harnesses, enclosures, and vehicle interface hardware.
  • Perform system-level electrical testing, integration, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
  • Support vehicle test operations and launch campaigns with real-time ground-system troubleshooting.
  • Define and procure commercial instrumentation, networking, computing, and interface hardware while maintaining system documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing, building, and deploying electrical ground support equipment, avionics integration hardware, or other high-reliability electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, and power distribution.
  • At least 1 year of experience specifying, procuring, integrating, and testing electrical, instrumentation, networking, and computing hardware.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, RS-422, CAN, TCP/IP, CAT5, and serial protocols.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with rack-level systems, harnessing, enclosure integration, avionics, or RF products.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices including circuit protection, E-stops, safety relays, interlocks, and hazardous-operation power distribution.
  • Experience with NX, Python, MATLAB, test automation, controls software, schematic capture, or EPlan.
  • Experience supporting launch campaigns, propulsion testing, or integrated vehicle operations.
