What you will do

  • Design and build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testbeds for vehicle mission simulations.
  • Work with hardware and software engineers to define simulation platform requirements.
  • Integrate avionics electrical systems, simulation hardware and software, and auxiliary support equipment.
  • Develop, document, and execute avionics system verification and validation plans.
  • Lead data reviews for verification and validation testing on HITL platforms.
  • Support vehicle software releases and Run-for-Record activities on HITL platforms.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in complex system design, testing, and architecture.
  • Experience with electronics test equipment, including power supplies, data acquisition systems, DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and electronic loads.
  • Understanding of engineering requirements capture and verification and validation test planning.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI, and other communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for data acquisition, recording, and analysis.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop test systems.
  • Experience with flight test, launch operations, large-scale manufacturing, or other complex operations.
  • Familiarity with wire harness design.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
