System Integration Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Lake Forest, California, United States; valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $82,000–$138,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Support the integration, installation, testing, certification, and delivery of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity systems on commercial aircraft.
• Provide on-site engineering support during aircraft production, assembly, ground testing, flight testing, inspection, acceptance, and delivery activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, integration, and installation issues and coordinate technical resolution through closure.
• Support system verification, validation, acceptance testing, customer acceptance flights, and aircraft delivery readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with aircraft manufacturers, airline customers, suppliers, and internal engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and customer support teams.
• Compile technical and integration data, report program status and risks, and provide technical guidance to OEM and airline personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience or relevant academic, internship, co-op, or project experience in aircraft systems integration, avionics, cabin systems, in-flight entertainment, satellite communications, or related aerospace products.
• Working knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems, analog and digital electronics, networking, data communications, and aircraft data buses.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, installation data, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of aerospace regulations, certification requirements, and industry standards including FAA, EASA, and ATA requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, root-cause investigation, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or experience with Boeing or Airbus aircraft programs.
• Knowledge of aircraft interiors, cabin systems, connectivity solutions, IFEC products, Final Assembly Line operations, and aircraft delivery processes.
• Experience with Siemens NX, Capital, Teamcenter, PTC Creo, RSD, requirements management, and verification/validation methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Access, AI-enabled engineering tools, digital transformation, or aerospace data analytics.
