Engineer - Occupant Protection (Hybrid) (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid in hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States; three days in the office and two days working from home each week.

Salary: $64,500–$103,500 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop functional, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle components for existing and new vehicles.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, design evaluations, and system performance modeling.
• Analyze simulation results and compare them with physical test results.
• Support test plan development, component and vehicle testing, and pre- and post-test inspections.
• Evaluate designs, parts, components, and materials for performance, safety, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, business support functions, suppliers, customers, and external technical resources.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Internship experience or at least six months of related work experience.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, reporting, and technical problem resolution under supervision.
• Regular attendance and ability to work in the hybrid hirify.global arrangement are required.
• Some positions may require eligibility as a U.S. Person under ITAR or EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system.
• Automotive familiarity.
