Senior Roadway Project Manager (Transportation Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead roadway and transportation projects from scoping through final design and delivery.
• Serve as project manager and technical lead for roadway design, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Oversee geometric design, corridor modeling, plan production, and PS&E packages for highways, interchanges, and local roads.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, multidisciplinary coordination, and client communications.
• Support design-build and alternative delivery pursuits, including ATCs, technical concepts, and design strategy.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals, scopes, and client relationship management.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in roadway or transportation engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer license, preferably in Utah, or ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
• Strong experience in roadway geometric design, modeling, plan production, and transportation PS&E delivery.
• Experience managing projects and leading roadway design teams or segments.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads, or similar design tools, with knowledge of AASHTO, UDOT, and local agency standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with UDOT projects and Utah-based transportation work.
• Design-build and alternative delivery experience, including ATCs.
• Experience leading large-scale corridor or interchange projects and mentoring technical staff.
