Global HR Compliance Specialist

Location: Hybrid work schedule in Jacksonville, Florida or Kansas City, Missouri, United States

What you will do

• Monitor employment laws and regulatory requirements across U.S. and international jurisdictions and translate changes into recommendations for HR policies, processes, systems, training, and operating practices.
• Partner with regional HR teams, HR Centers of Excellence, HRIS, Technology, Analytics, and Legal stakeholders to assess compliance risks and support consistent global HR practices.
• Conduct HR compliance audits and risk assessments, identify gaps, and develop remediation plans.
• Manage compliance and employee relations reporting, dashboards, metrics, governance documentation, and audit controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate compliance monitoring, reporting, investigation tracking, and data-management processes.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of global and regional HR policies, procedures, and employment-related training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience supporting HR compliance across multiple countries or regions in a global or multinational organization.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state employment compliance requirements, plus experience researching requirements in additional international jurisdictions.
• Ability to analyze complex regulatory information, identify risks and trends, and convert requirements into practical HR policies, controls, and guidance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, data sets, and reporting; strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong prioritization, judgment, communication, presentation, relationship-building, and confidentiality skills.

• Experience in a large, complex, or highly matrixed multinational organization.
• Experience with HR compliance dashboards, metrics, risk indicators, or governance reporting.
• Experience with Excel macros, Workday or comparable HRIS platforms, and cross-functional process improvement or technology initiatives.
• Experience using automation, artificial intelligence, or emerging technologies to improve HR processes and compliance monitoring.
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
