Project Manager (Power Delivery Utility Construction)

Location: Canton, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana; 40% jobsite travel. Core schedule is Monday through Friday, 7AM–5PM Central Time, with long hours and occasional weekend work.

What you will do

• Manage distribution power line projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, communications plans, budgets, and change control processes.
• Coordinate Operations, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, PMO, and customer stakeholders.
• Track project deliverables, risks, issues, resources, accruals, reporting, and customer requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, drive accountability, and escalate issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Prepare project reports and incorporate lessons learned and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of project management experience and 3 years of power delivery utility construction experience.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and advanced Excel, including functions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with employees, management, customers, and the public.
• Ability to work on professional job sites, in uncontrolled climate environments, and on concrete floors, including regular jobsite travel.

Nice to have

• Previous power delivery utility or contractor experience.
• Previous EPC construction experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
