Project Development Project Manager (Power Generation)

Engineering and consulting organization supporting power and energy projects across industrial, institutional, municipal, independent power producer, and utility sectors.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain proactive client relationships from initial positioning through project completion.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate daily project activities with technical staff and clients.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, profitability, deliverables, and recovery plans.
• Champion proposals, support contract reviews, and evaluate risks associated with proposed services.
• Perform power generation engineering and consulting work, including feasibility studies, technical reports, estimates, specifications, and design reviews.
• Train and mentor project staff while reporting project progress to accounting and operations leadership.

Requirements

• Experience developing and specifying power generation systems for simple-cycle, combined-cycle, cogeneration, distributed generation, reciprocating engine, combined heat and power, and renewable energy projects.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and lead complex engineering design and consulting assignments.
• Experience with conceptual drawings, heat and water balances, technology comparisons, site due diligence, project pro formas, permitting, interconnect applications, cost estimates, bid specifications, equipment sizing, technical memoranda, and feasibility studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, planning, organizational, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and support business development and strategic planning.
• Experience with MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
