Hardware Engineer Internship - Summer 2027 (FPGA/ASIC)

What you will do

• Create hardware designs in SystemVerilog for high-performance, low-latency trading infrastructure.
• Build complex hardware modeling and testing environments in Python.
• Explore FPGA/ASIC design and verification roles through independent technical projects.
• Work with low-level computer architecture, logic design, tool development, and hardware-software interfaces.
• Join production-oriented projects within the first two weeks after training.
• Develop an understanding of trading infrastructure and financial markets.

Requirements

• Be a full-time student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related program.
• Be graduating and seeking full-time roles in 2028.
• Have a thorough understanding of digital logic design and/or computer architecture.
• Have experience with a hardware design language such as SystemVerilog.
• Be familiar with C++ and/or Python, Linux, and the command prompt.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and interest in understanding systems under the hood.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FPGAs or ASICs.
• Exposure to hardware verification flows such as UVM or open-source tools such as cocotb.
