Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer

Annual salary: $122,440–$232,190 USD

What you will do

• Lead pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic against architectural and microarchitectural specifications.
• Develop verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM environments, and drive functional and coverage closure.
• Define, run, and analyze system-level simulations covering functional, performance, power, and corner-case behavior.
• Debug and root-cause RTL, microarchitecture, and integration issues, driving them to resolution with design teams.
• Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, power and performance teams, and physical design engineers.
• Scale verification infrastructure, automation, methodologies, documentation, and technical design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with design verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA tools.
• Experience with pre-silicon verification of CPU, SoC, or complex IP designs.
• Analytical problem-solving, clear communication, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Preferred experience includes SystemVerilog, C/C++, Linux-based simulation, Python or Perl automation, RTL development, CPU microarchitecture, system boot flows, power management, and low-power verification.
