Manufacturing Engineer II

hirify.global Industrial Coating Solutions develops equipment for the precise application and curing of powder coatings, liquid paint, adhesives, sealants, and food and beverage container production.

What you will do

• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, assembly techniques, ergonomic practices, and quality controls.
• Establish product build standards, process documentation, job aids, and testing methods.
• Investigate customer quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize work-cell layouts, manpower efficiency, material workflow, and floor-space utilization using Lean techniques.
• Collaborate with New Product Development Engineering on design reviews, pilot builds, and new product introductions.
• Lead strategic projects related to Operational Excellence and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Eight years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, multitasking, and independent-working skills.
• Estimated travel requirement: 25%.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, GD&T, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks experience.
• Experience with PFMEA, Design for Manufacturability, and Stage Gate processes.
• Experience specifying and purchasing capital equipment, 3D printing, or hands-on mechanical work.
