What you will do

  • Develop and implement process technology to reduce variation, optimize manufacturing, improve workflow, and lower costs.
  • Analyze equipment layouts, cell designs, plant layouts, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to remove bottlenecks.
  • Support technical teams with equipment downtime root cause analysis and provide technical input on equipment, tools, product quality, and manufacturing costs.
  • Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities and conduct time studies to improve production capabilities.
  • Support plant capital improvement projects and serve as a technical resource for mold moves involving internal plants and contract molders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies that ensure product quality throughout manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, tool development, process design, safety requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive position, handle evolving technical assignments, make moderately challenging decisions, and communicate clearly.
  • Valid driver’s license required; travel of up to 25% is expected.

Nice to have

  • Prior plastics manufacturing internship.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience using automation to improve process flow.
