Senior Machinist (CNC)

What you will do

• Set up and operate Swiss tool machines, twin-spindle lathes, multi-axis VMCs, pallet changers, horizontal mills, drills, and related equipment.
• Set up tool registers, offsets, switches, and edit CNC programs for defined production runs with limited supervision.
• Interpret blueprints and title-block GD&T requirements, calculating dimensions and tolerances with precision measuring instruments.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and nonconforming parts, implement corrections, and perform routine machinery maintenance.
• Maintain machine replacement-part inventory records and communicate machining-group status to other departments.
• Lead cross-training and new-hire training activities while maintaining safe, clean, and organized work areas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of machining experience beyond post-secondary or trade school education.
• Certificate in machine shop technology or machinist technology; an associate degree is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of code reading and CNC program editing.
• Fluent blueprint interpretation and working knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong mathematics, analytical, communication, computer, and teamwork skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and perform work requiring prolonged standing and frequent use of hands.
