Area Manager Health & Safety Compliance (Environmental Solutions)

What you will do

• Develop and implement loss prevention programs, safety objectives, policies, procedures, and training programs for the assigned area.
• Coach and develop safety professionals, monitor performance, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Investigate serious accidents and injuries while overseeing investigations of minor incidents.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, Department of Transportation, federal, state, and local safety regulations and record-keeping requirements.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders on onboarding, safety communications, training, and return-to-duty programs.
• Analyze accident and injury trends, prepare compliance reports, and participate in OSHA and DOT inspections and audits.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of relevant work experience, including experience as a safety professional.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other applicable health and safety standards.
• Professional safety certification from a nationally recognized safety organization or a degree in Safety Management.
• Successful completion of a 40-hour OSHA compliance course.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, organization, reporting, customer service, and Microsoft Office skills.
