What you will do

  • Monitor regulatory compliance and enforce safety and health policies across the facility.
  • Manage accident investigations, root cause analyses, and safety reporting.
  • Oversee contractor safety performance and ensure proper training and equipment usage.
  • Conduct frequent field safety inspections and follow-up evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the plant health clinic for medical surveillance and industrial hygiene monitoring.
  • Ensure fire system inspection, testing, and functionality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience in a power plant or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926, VPP, or related state safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform physical demands including working from heights, in confined spaces, and wearing a full-face respirator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or science-related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a non-routine basis.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
