Location: West Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; facility-based onsite role

Salary: $87,300–$116,200 USD per annum; sign-on bonus eligibility

What you will do

  • Lead and sustain the facility’s Safety, Health, and Environmental programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926 requirements, permits, state regulations, and hirify.global standards.
  • Monitor KPIs, audits, inspections, and field observations, then implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, injuries, vehicle incidents, and contractor incidents using root cause analysis.
  • Manage employee, contractor, and temporary-worker safety training and compliance.
  • Coordinate occupational health, medical surveillance, environmental compliance, safety committees, and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Two to four or more years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in heavy industrial, manufacturing, power generation, utility, chemical processing, recycling, or materials recovery environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industrial experience is considered.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926, and applicable state safety regulations.
  • Experience supporting operations and maintenance activities in an industrial facility is strongly preferred.
  • Strong coaching, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and prioritization skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors; climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear a full-face respirator.

Nice to have

  • Professional safety certification such as ASP, CSP, OHST, or CHST.
  • Experience with OSHA Voluntary Protection Program activities.
