Manager, Safety (EHS)

Location: Sesame Place Philadelphia, United States; onsite park-based role

What you will do

• Coordinate and supervise health services for park guests and employees.
• Manage environmental, health, and safety programs, including OSHA compliance, inspections, training, and facility tours.
• Lead guest and employee accident investigations, root cause analysis, injury trend reporting, and prevention initiatives.
• Oversee workers’ compensation and general liability claims processing and litigation management.
• Manage environmental regulatory programs covering wastewater, pesticides, hazardous materials, medical waste, air quality, storage tanks, spills, and solid waste.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and lead Health Services staff while coordinating wellness programs with Human Resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of related Environmental, Health, and/or Safety experience or training.
• At least three years of medical service experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency medicine, or a school environment.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety laws, with the ability to research new regulations and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Must work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays; travel may be required, along with prolonged work outdoors in extreme weather.

Nice to have

• Experience with public liability, workers’ compensation claims, and litigation management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer software.
