Project Managers of All Levels (Power Utility)

What you will do

• Manage substation, transmission, and distribution projects from development through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional internal and external teams, stakeholders, regulators, local elected officials, and town department managers.
• Develop project plans, schedules, communications plans, change-control processes, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts.
• Coordinate environmental assessments, siting and permitting activities, regulatory approvals, energization plans, operating instructions, and outage-plan submissions.
• Manage the development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design, construction, equipment, materials, and support systems.
• Maintain project reporting and documentation, provide management updates, and prepare written responses for regulatory proceedings.

Requirements

• Knowledge of substations and overhead or underground transmission systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, finance, or business, or equivalent power utility project management experience.
• Experience managing projects requiring public and regulatory approvals.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, write reports, make presentations, and manage deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to lead meetings, motivate teams, define roles and responsibilities, and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, coaching, interpersonal, planning, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or project management coursework.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with Primavera P6.
