Senior Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution (Power Delivery)

Location: Otsego, Minnesota; travel is required, including long-term onsite project assignments.

Expected salary: $157,000–$216,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale transmission, distribution, and substation projects from pursuit and estimating through construction and closeout.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, quality, safety, risks, profitability, and project controls.
• Coordinate field operations with construction management and field leadership for safe and efficient delivery.
• Serve as the primary contact for utility owners, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Administer contracts, change orders, claims, variations, forecasts, cost reports, and closeout activities.
• Supervise and mentor project management staff while building accountable, high-performing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, plus 7–10+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated success managing utility, transmission, distribution, substation, or power delivery construction projects valued at $10 million or greater.
• Experience supervising project management personnel and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, change management, estimating, project controls, negotiation, and construction execution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, HCSS, or Microsoft Project.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and willingness to travel and work onsite as required.

Nice to have

• PMP, PE, or another advanced professional certification.
• Experience with utility owners, cooperatives, municipalities, and investor-owned utilities.
• Background in overhead transmission, underground distribution, or substation construction.
• Experience with MISO, SPP, ERCOT, PJM, or other regional transmission environments.
