Operations Manager I (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; work may be performed in an office or hybrid environment, with occasional travel and site visits.

What you will do

• Develop and manage short-, mid-, and long-range maintenance plans for inspections, overhauls, replacements, and modifications.
• Coordinate Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and Flight Operations schedules with operational demand and program goals.
• Oversee work package development, task card preparation, and induction planning for maintenance and modification events.
• Monitor compliance with FAA regulations, maintenance program requirements, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins.
• Lead maintenance planners through coaching, performance management, and professional development.
• Track maintenance KPIs, forecast resources, and drive continuous improvement to reduce schedule impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of aviation maintenance experience, including planning, maintenance, or production control leadership.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations and continuous airworthiness maintenance programs.
• Proficiency with maintenance information systems and the ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for employment because an active U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience planning maintenance for Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
• Familiarity with reliability programs and continuing analysis and surveillance systems.
• A&P Airframe and Powerplant certification.
