Manager, Operations (Manufacturing): Leading daily factory operations across safety, quality, delivery, and cost with an accent on cellular manufacturing, resource planning, and team performance. Focus on driving continuous improvement, resolving manufacturing flow issues, and delivering throughput improvements, shorter lead times, cost reductions, and productivity gains.
Location: Norwich, Connecticut, USA; onsite manufacturing role

EFD designs and manufactures fluid dispensing systems and single-use fluid packaging.
What you will do
- Lead daily production, facility, and planning operations while promoting the Journey to Zero safety program.
- Manage labor and resources to achieve production goals, quality standards, delivery targets, and cost controls.
- Hire, coach, and develop team members while building an engaged, high-performing production organization.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using the Business System and cellular manufacturing principles.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing flow issues to improve throughput, lead times, productivity, and costs across assembly product lines.
- Partner with support functions, customer service, and the Operations Director on customer satisfaction, budgeting, capital planning, and manufacturing productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in manufacturing or operations leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong decision-making, communication, change leadership, and frontline team influence skills.
- Ability to implement process management, value stream execution, and continuous improvement activities.
- Reliable and appropriate transportation is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP or another ERP platform.
- Experience with injection molding, automated assembly equipment, and manual product assembly.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or an ISO-certified company.
- Experience implementing Kanban processes and strategies.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
