Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Natchitoches, Louisiana, USA; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote work. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations for compressor products, meeting production schedules, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor and improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and employee engagement KPIs.
• Lead quality problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer issue resolution.
• Coach supervisors, managers, and manufacturing teams while supporting talent development and succession planning.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, cost reduction, waste elimination, automation, capital projects, and operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, operations management, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing experience may substitute.
• 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years leading supervisors and production teams.
• Experience leading operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience managing safety, quality, production, and cost performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
• Experience in automotive, HVAC, compressor, or industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and Industry 4.0 technologies.
