Manufacturing Operations Lead (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own manufacturing operations from production planning through aircraft assembly, testing, release, and handoff to launch and customer deployment teams.
• Translate delivery and launch commitments into integrated production schedules with milestones, dependencies, owners, risks, and critical paths.
• Establish a manufacturing execution system covering production records, routings, work instructions, travelers, traceability, test results, rework, and aircraft configuration history.
• Manage inventory and material readiness, including procurement, tooling, facilities, documentation, staffing, and test equipment.
• Work hands-on in aircraft assembly and testing while developing production flow, workstation layouts, tooling, fixtures, and standard processes.
• Build, train, and lead the final assembly and test team while driving resolution of nonconformances, defects, rework, and production blockers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production management, supply chain, industrial operations, or a similar field.
• Experience scaling a complex physical product from prototype or low-rate production into a repeatable manufacturing operation.
• Hands-on experience with production planning, inventory management, procurement, and MES or ERP systems.
• Experience building and leading teams of assemblers, technicians, or other production personnel.
• Understanding of manufacturing quality, configuration control, traceability, process documentation, and end-of-line testing.
• Ability to work hands-on in assembly and testing and to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving product and manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in aviation, drones, robotics, aerospace, complex electromechanical assembly, battery systems, high-voltage systems, production testing, supplier management, or lean manufacturing.
