What you will do

• Forecast weather conditions and produce, present, and anchor weather reports across all platforms.
• Write and deliver clear, concise weather stories while maintaining journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Respond to breaking and severe weather events and support urgent newsroom coverage.
• Write daily web stories about the local forecast and engage with viewers through social media.
• Collaborate with the weather team on comprehensive coverage and assist with research, copy editing, and programming coordination.
• Participate in promotional activities, public appearances, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to ad-lib when required.
• At least five years of weather reporting or anchoring experience, depending on market size.
• Strong on-air presence, forecasting track record, and understanding of meteorology.
• Experience guiding, motivating, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to use standard office equipment, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and work any shift.
